Project Overview
CSDNR is a USA-based project for which Eminent BIM Services worked as a freelance BIM support partner, focus on HVAC modeling and HVAC shop drawings.The project required the HVAC design information to be developed into a coordinated Revit model that could clearly communicate ductwork layouts, equipment locations, and system routing.
Alongside the 3D model, detailed HVAC shop drawings were prepared to support construction and installation activities.
Our role was centered on turning the available HVAC information into a practical, construction-oriented deliverable while maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout the modeling and documentation process.
Challenge
HVAC systems need careful attention to duct routing, equipment connections, ceiling conditions, dimensions, and spatial requirements.
Even a small modeling discrepancy can create difficulties when the drawings are used during installation.
Another important requirement was ensuring that the HVAC Revit model and shop drawings remained consistent.
Changes made during modeling had to be reflected correctly in the corresponding documentation.

HVAC BIM modeling and shop drawing services
The work began with reviewing the available project drawings and understanding the HVAC design requirements.
From this information, the HVAC systems were developed within a Revit environment with attention to routing, equipment placement, system connections, and drawing requirements.
Once the model was developed, the information was used to prepare HVAC shop drawings.
These drawings were organized to communicate the necessary construction information in a clear and practical format.
A key part of the workflow was maintaining alignment between the model and documentation.
Instead of treating the Revit model and shop drawings as separate deliverables, both were developed as connected parts of the same BIM workflow.
